SYRACUSE, N.Y.- FDU women's volleyball (3-14,1-2) came off of a four-set-loss with a quick three-set victory over Le Moyne (0-13,0-3) in their first NEC matchup with the Dolphins at Ted Grant Court (25-21,25-22,25-20)
- Avery Bain had an impressive showing with nine kills hitting .320.
- Sofia Rampazzo had a double-double with 11 kills (.296) 16 digs and even posted three aces.
Set 1
- Le Moyne had an early lead at 15-10. The Knights pulled ahead at 19 with a six-point-run with Hannah Schmidt at the line (22-19)
- Bain ends it with a kill 25-21.
Set 2
- The Knights maintained a two-point lead thought the set before a crucial three-point-run at 15-12 which created the gap they needed.
- FDU ended it 25-22 as the sided-out every first ball.
Set 3
- FDU had an early four-point run at 7-3 to create momentum and keep the lead the whole set.
- The Knights had another four-point run at 22-14 to improve on that lead.
- The Dolphins closed the gap back to four at 22-18 but the knights pushed three to end it 25-20.
The Knights host Stony Brook on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Rothman Center for their last non-conference match of the 2023 campaign.
