FDU Strength and Conditioning

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide a supportive environment for athletes to learn and refine their skills using scientific principles of exercise. We are dedicated to helping our athletes reach their full potential and achieve their athletic goals. Through our methods of training programs and coaching guidance, we aim to empower our athletes with the knowledge and tools they need to excel in their respective sports, physically and mentally.

Core Values:

· Integrity – Perform every exercise with full intent.

· Pride – To give it your all and learn from your failures.

· Resilience – Failure is another chance to try again and aim for success.

· Respect – Hold each other accountable.

· Unity – No one is left behind “We before me”.

Program Overview:

Warm Up: Through a series of dynamic movements, our athletes attain a rise in core temperature to allow them to execute their program safely.

Prehab: A series of loaded and unloaded exercises, expressed with a full range of motion. Mobility of all major joints to allow freedom of movement.

Plyometrics: Athleticism and speed can be improved through a series of progressive jumps, drops, skips, bounding, and sprints.

Strength training: The scientific principle of progressive overload is one of our pillars of strength training. By progressively increasing the intensity of the exercise in each of our mesocycles, the athletes will increase their strength in a safely and timely manner.

Cool Down: Through a series of static stretching and breathing techniques, our athletes will be challenged on their flexibility and attain mental clarity to finalize their team lift.
