TOWSON, MD- FDU (1-4) split two matches on the road at SECU Arena on Friday. FDU notched their first victory over Rider (0-2) in three sets. In the second billing, the Knights lost to Towson (3-1) in four sets.

Set 1
• The opening set proved to be tight throughout. FDU came out of a time-out leading 23-22 and grabbed the frame courtesy of a kill from
Giorgia Vaschetti and an ace from
Kyndal Ganoe. 25-22.
• Vaschetti had seven kills (.500).
• T. Fucka had three kills off four attempts (.750).
Set 2
• At 12-12, the Knights went on a six-point run spurred by Schmidt at the service line and multiple kills from Nott and
Rebeka Fucka.
• The Knights maintained the lead and ended the set. 25-21.
Set 3

Madisyn Beirne took the floor with back-to-back aces and a five-point serve-run to start off the set strong.
• The Knights again kept Rider at arms length throughout and Beirne finished it with a kill. 25-20.

• Schmidt had 7 kills on an impressive .778 clip.
How it Happened
Set 1
• Towson went on an early run and then another seven-point-run to grab a commanding 20-8 lead. FDU could not recover. 25-14.
Set 2
• After several lead changes Towson tied it at 15-15 as the sides fought point-for point. The Tigers eventually pulled ahead and closed the set 25-23.
Set 3
• At 20-20, the Knights started to side-out right away and continued their momentum on serve to earn two-points at a time and gain a lead that they would not lose. The Knights took set 3 25-20.
Set 4
• Towson surged ahead with an 11-0 run that gave a them a convincing 15-4 lead.
• FDU could not find a way to push the match into a 5th set as they fell 25-17.
The Road Ahead
The Knights conclude their weekend get away with a trip to Hill Field House in Baltimore to take on the Morgan State Bears. The first serve will come at 1 p.m.
