BOCA RATON, Fl.- FDU (0-3) fell to Florida Atlantic (2-1) in a tight battle on Abessinio Court at FAU Arena in the third and final match of the FAU Invitational. (15-25,21-25,25-23,23,25)

- Kylie Nott put down 13 kills on a .237 hitting percentage while collecting five digs and two blocks.
- Sofia Rampazzo produced 11 kills on a .219 hitting percentage.
- Setter Hannah Schmidt had four kills off seven attempts. (.667).
- Rebeka Fucka had her best offensive performance in the young season with nine kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
Set 1Â
- At 7-7, The Owls pulled ahead 13-7 utilizing a 7-0 burst. The Knights couldn't close the gap and lost the set 25-15.Â
Set 2
- With the score tied 11-11, FAU went on a 4-0 run to pull ahead 11-15. They went on to win the set 25-21.
Set 3Â
- The Knights trailed the Owls through a majority of the set but eventually Schmidt tied it with a second-ball-kill followed by two aces from Kyndal Ganoe.Â
- Kills from Tatijana Fucka and Rampazzo ended  set two 25-23.
Set 4
- With the score 11-9, FDU went on a seven-point run spurred by Schmidt's service. The Knights came out of a FAU timeout with three-kills. However, FAU was able to recover following their second timeout and closed out the match 25-23.

FDU heads to Maryland on September 1st to play two matches as part of the Towson Invitational. The first comes against Rider at 3:00 P.M. and then the second comes against Towson at 7:00 P.M. Both will be at SECU Arena. Watch the action on FLOVolleyball.Â
