At FDU

• Hired as the Knights' women's volleyball head coach on January 12, 2022
• Earned his first career head coaching victory on August 27, 2022 vs. ULM in five sets
• Led FDU to nine NEC wins in his first season, finishing 17-16 overall
• Graduate student Tatijana Fucka was named to the First Team All-NEC
• In his first campaign, led FDU to the first NEC women's volleyball crown in program history
• Coached the Knights in the program's first-ever NCAA tournament match against #1 Texas on December 1, 2022
• Named the NEC Coach of the Year in 2022

 

Costal Carolina Highlights

• Served as the international recruiting coordinator and defensive coordinator
• Helped lead the Chanticleers to a 19-9 record
• Assisted in the development of four All-Sun Belt student-athletes and one Newcomer of the Year honoree
• Served as liaison to compliance and other administrative units

 

William & Mary Highlights

• Ran training sessions
• Coded practices using the DataVolley platform, compiling film, scouting reports and statistics
• Oversaw the training program and its implementation
• Hired and supervised student managers and program volunteers

• Coordinated all travel logistics and event operations for the Cavaliers

• Assisted the team to two A-10 tournament appearances, first in 2013 and again in 2017
• The Rams captured the conference title in 2017 with Nguyen on-staff
• Aided in the development of an A-10 Player of the Year and two A-10 Liberos of the Year
• 20 student-athletes earned All-A-10 honors during Nguyen's time at VCU
