NORTH ANDOVER, MASS.- FDU (12-15,10-2) swept the Merrimack Warriors (7-19,6-6) to cap off another 2-0 weekend in the NEC (25-12, 25-15, 25-22). This marks the 10th conference win for the 2023 Knights, which sets a new program record. The win, their ninth straight in conference, secures FDU's berth into the NEC tournament.
Set 1
- The Knights put together multiple spurts to grab a 18-8 lead.
- FDU finished the set on a 7-4 run to close it out 25-12.
- Avery Bain hit .600 with three kills in the frame.
Set 2
- FDU put together a 6-0 run featuring two aces from Ganoe to pull ahead 14-8.
- The Burgundy and Blue built that lead and Ganoe earned her third ace on game point to take the set 25-15.
Set 3
- The Knights pulled ahead by six at 19-13.
- Merrimack closed the gap to one at 19-18 with 5-0 run before Giorgia Vaschetti halted their momentum with a kill.
- The Knights completed the sweep 25-22.
